Microlit

A micro-literature project

About

Characters aware of being written in medieval towns by the lake where time is an illusion. Lonely poets dreaming of autumn and islands, frozen in their own poetry. Deep blue moonlit polar nights of counting ghosts dancing to the organ. Conversations about blue pencils that do not exist. Sparks of colors yet to be invented. Trains, mountains, swans, leaves, and colorful pink and blue skies.

Microlit is a collection of experimental short writings by Iván Ávalos, whose style is best described as surreal metafiction, where imagery, atmosphere, and sonic texture often take precedence over plot or storytelling. These dreamlike, lyrical, and self-aware pieces let meaning emerge through the dissolution of certainty—what happens when language, memory, time, and identity become unreliable.
