Once upon a time, human civilization as we know it underwent a radical transformation. First they told us we were moving to a better place where we would never have to worry about our needs or wants again, a place where we would always be served our coffee with our preferred type of milk and exact amount of beans and sugar, and where the traffic lights would always be green as we drove past them; a green and lush garden where comfort and convenience would always come to us instead of us having to chase it. Our world was collapsing, they said, there was no choice, so we were sold right away, and once we were all there, they built the walls, the tallest we had ever seen.
