―Look at my hands, is this the future that you want? Ten years ago I told you what you wanted to hear, but right now I’m telling you the truth. Look at my hands, I’m now the one holding the spark, are you still afraid of fire?
Once believed to be a myth, the spark was revealed to the world in a single paragraph written by a postman, who witnessed a 95-year-old woman, once believed to be insane, hold it in her hands in front of a young man. The color of the spark was unclear, as color had not yet been invented, leading to popular speculation as to whether color existed at all.
Ten days after the first newspaper announcement, the woman was pronounced dead in her hospital bed, and the young man and the spark were nowhere to be found, sparking a massive worldwide search that lasted for years. When there were no more places left to search in the towns and cities, all the forests were burned and all the trees were cut down. One day, less than a week before the earth finally caught fire, the postman was revealed to be insane.
